In this painting, I employed a layered mixed-media approach to create depth and texture. I used acrylic paint as the foundational medium, building on older acrylic works to add complexity. Use of thick modelling medium and gold leaf brought expressive texture and tonal variation. I applied the media using a variety of tools, including silicone wedges, palette knives, brushes, and rags, to achieve both precise and spontaneous marks. The result is a dynamic interplay of texture, color, and form, evoking the natural chaos and calm of the landscape.
