Resonance
63×93cm
Acrylic and mixed media on stretched canvas. Framed in a natural wood floating frame.
Rhythm is everywhere—in tides, shifting seasons, the pulse of breath. In Resonance, I explore movement and stillness, where layered textures and muted tones create quiet energy. Sweeping arcs and intersecting lines suggest an echo, a lingering vibration.
My process is intuitive, responding as the painting unfolds. Earthy hues, softened edges, and subtle contrasts evoke a rhythm that is felt rather than heard—like the reverberation of memory or the cadence of a landscape shaped by time. Abstraction allows for multiple interpretations, inviting the viewer to find their own resonance within the piece.

As an artist, I typically prefer not to explain my work, believing that art should speak for itself and allow viewers to interpret it in their own way. However, this piece can be seen as a reflection of the complex and layered journey toward justice. The vertical flow, especially the white streak, symbolizes how justice slowly makes its way to those in need, emphasizing the barriers that often stand in its path.
Ultimately, this painting captures the persistent effort of light and hope working to break through the darkness, offering a sense of resilience and progress in the face of struggle.
Every care has been taken to show the artwork as accurately as possible with regard to size and colour. The image you see on line may show a difference due to variation between browsers, devices and screen settings.
