This painting was inspired by a breathtaking drone shot of a local winery in Ferguson Valley. Initially, I aimed to reproduce the image faithfully on canvas. However, the painting quickly took on a life of its own, leading me in a different direction. As I worked, a soaring bird and delicate clouds emerged, drifting over a softly textured landscape. Much like the bird, I found myself navigating the creative process without full control. This unexpected inspiration led to a series of aerial paintings, capturing the essence of that singular, awe-inspiring moment.
