Reef

$800.00

60×90cm

Acrylic on stretched canvas ready to hang.

This painting is reminiscent of the waters off the south coastal town of Esperance ,where I spent the first two years of my teaching career.

In this acrylic painting, I’ve focused on capturing the dynamic and organic forms of water in motion. Layers of turquoise, teal, and aqua provide a base that feels both fresh and calm, while contrasting dark and earthy tones add depth, giving the impression of underwater rocks or shadows playing beneath the surface.

The overall feeling is one of calm and connection to nature. The soft blues and earthy tones feel grounding yet uplifting, inviting viewers to imagine the sounds of water lapping against the shore or the sensation of sand beneath their feet. I hope it’s a piece that encourages relaxation and a moment of escape, bringing a gentle yet powerful presence to any space.
